Kashima Shinryū – Slovenian Chapter

Kashima Shinryū is a classical Japanese martial tradition (koryū) with origins dating back to the Asuka era (seventh century). It encompases the use of various of weapons as well as bare hands in combat following the same underlying principles. Practiced in its original form as handed down from generation to generation, Kashima Shinryū pursues to convey these ideas and techniques as a part of traditional Japanese culture.

The Slovenian chapter of the Kashima Shinryū Federation has been organizing regular practice sessions of both kenjutsu and jūjutsu at the historic “Tabor” sports center in Ljubljana since 2002. A two-hour practice session is carried out on a weekly basis.
